The Vilano Sport is an inflatable SUP designed specifically for fishing.
However, in my opinion, it can be used for much more.
Extra Cargo Space is Great for SUP Fishing… & More
The main difference, as you can probably see, is that there is lots of cargo space with the cris-crossed bunged cords and 14 D-rings on both ends of the paddleboard.
Most boards only have the storage cords on one end, whereas the Vilano Sport gives you the ability to bring a lot more gear.
This feature is perfect for fishing, but what about camping, picnics or other activities where you may want to bring extra gear?

I Like the Larger Tracking Fin…
Another cool feature that this package comes with is the large tracking fin. These bigs fins keep the board moving in a straight line instead of zig-zagging when you paddle.
I prefer these larger fins for paddling long, straight distances because they take a lot of the work out of paddling.
Many other paddleboards have shorter fins. These are nice for making quick turns or surfing waves, but not necessarily fishing.
This Inflatable Fishing SUP is Built to Last
In my opinion, inflatable paddleboards are ideal for river paddling and fishing because they can bump against boulders and logs without getting dinged. They simply bounce off.
It is so rigid, the Vilano Sport could easily be mistaken for a hard board when inflated. It’s made of high grade PVC material with drop stitch construction, which makes the inflatable surprisingly strong.
This Fishing SUP Thick
Another feature that I like about this SUP is that it is 6″ thick (vs 4″). Essentially, this means that it will ride higher out of the water and provides are more stable ride.
It may not seem like a lot, but that 2 extra inches makes a big difference. This is especially true if you are carrying a lot of gear on your board or want to keep your feet drier.
You Can Easily Transport this SUP
I think all inflatable SUPs have the carrying grip in the center of the board. The Vilano Sport, on the other hand, has 2 additional grips on either end of the board for a total of three.
If that wasn’t enough, the package also includes a detachable shoulder strap that you can clip to the side of the board. And, of course, you get a heavy-duty backpack which can carry the entire SUP, paddle and pump.
