Update 6/3/2018: The Airhead Inflatable SUP is a great paddleboard. However, another newer model, the Z-Ray Inflatable SUP, now offers a better package at a lower price. Plus, you get the kayak seat as well.
The Z-Ray costs about $100 less, plus it comes with an SUP paddle. The paddle alone will save you another $70-$100, so overall, you can save up to $200 and end up with a better paddle board.
The Airhead SUP is another heavy-duty – yet affordable – inflatable SUP that consistently gets great reviews from customers. The cool thing is that it comes with an attachable seat, so you can easily turn your paddleboard into a sit-on-top kayak. Very cool.
What Does it Come With?
This SUP package comes with a pump, gauge and rugged-looking carrying backpack (and the kayak seat of course). What it does not come with, however, is a paddle. This gives you the ability to choose your own style of paddle, but it also means plan on spending an additional $50-150 on equipment.
What Makes this Inflatable SUP Better?
Something to note is the maximum air pressure. Other low-cost SUPs have a max PSI of 12, where this one has a max PSI of 15. The additional pressure means that you can have a more rigid and firm board – also better for maneuvering and a more streamlined ride with less effort.
