Blue Wave Sports’ complete SUP-Kayak package includes everything you need (and more) for a day of fun on the water. Whether you want a stand-up paddle board or a sit-on-top kayak, you can have both and only buy one piece of equipment. (Even the paddle converts, so you don’t have to buy multiple paddles!)
This package is affordably priced at under $600 (for everything shown!). It’s not top-of-the-line, but it’s not a cheaply-made board either. If cared for properly, this SUP can last you many years with regular use.
If you are just getting started with stand-up paddling or you have a family with interests in different water sports, these can be great boards to have. Because they are inflatable, they are also easy to travel with and won’t take up a lot of space when traveling or being stored at home.
The Stingray SUP measures 10 feet long, 30 inches wide and 4 inches thick. It has a weight capacity of 220 lbs. That’s about average when if comes to basic paddleboards.
This is not a super fast paddleboard nor is it precise in navigation. This means that turning may take a little more effort and you will need to work a little harder paddling to pick up speed. That said, this hybrid sup kayak is still a lot of fun.
Another thing to consider is that one board may not be enough. When you start using it, you will want to bring your friends with you. Blue Wave Products is known for making fun outdoor and leisure gear. If you only have one SUP, that’s not possible (unless you have really lightweight friends).
Therefore, you may need to get 2 boards, which means you may end up spending more money than you’d like. Alternatively, you could just ditch your friends or have them buy their own.
SUP-Kayak Package Includes:
- Inflatable SUP
- Adjustable, removable fabric seat
- Detachable foot rest
- Hand pump
- Detachable center tracking fin
- Rip-resistant polyethylene storage bag
- Easy to use repair kit
The Stingray Inflatable SUP is perfect for family camping trips due to its versatility, and at the same time it can be the ideal companion on a trip to Hawaii. Deflate it, roll it up, stick it in the bag and head to the airport (don’t forget to pack your swimsuit!)
